Heritage Protection Agreement with
Kakarra Aboriginal Corporation, covering
Pinjin and Bulong Taurus gold projects

Kalgoorlie Gold Mining (ASX:KAL) (‘KalGold’ or ‘the Company’) is pleased to announce that it has
executed a comprehensive Heritage Protection Agreement (HPA) with the Kakarra Aboriginal Corporation
RNTBC (KAC) over Kakarra Country east of Kalgoorlie in Western Australia. The agreement provides a
framework to protect Kakarra heritage for future generations while supporting KalGold’s gold exploration
and discovery work at the Pinjin and Bulong Taurus Gold Projects.
Discussing the updated and expanded Kakarra HPA, KalGold MD and CEO Dr Matt Painter said:
“Executing a comprehensive Heritage Protection Agreement with the Kakarra Traditional Owners
is a significant milestone for KalGold. We sincerely thank the Kakarra people for their constructive
and proactive engagement to produce an agreement that benefits both organisations and the
people of the land.
While cultural heritage protection is foremost for the Kakarra Aboriginal Corporation, the
pragmatism and enthusiasm shown in meetings and on-country is very encouraging for KalGold’s
exploration programs.
We are very much looking forward to continuing to work with the Kakarra people, both personally
and directly with the elders and the board, as well as on-country with the mining professionals
and people of this land, as we accelerate our exploration efforts towards discovery and success
at Pinjin and Bulong Taurus.”
Determination of title, new tenements, and gold rights necessitated an update
The updated agreement supersedes an earlier limited agreement covering tenement E28/3134 where
KalGold recently completed the Laverton Tectonic Zone (LTZ) Flexure aircore drill program. That
agreement itself was modified from earlier versions related to tenements that the Company no longer
holds. Building on the most recent agreement, a Deed of Assignment, Assumption, and Variation was
required for the following reasons:
• Determination of native title – On 30 April, 2025, the Federal Court of Australia issued a consent
determination recognising the native title rights of the Kakarra people over lands and waters in the
Goldfields and Great Victoria Desert region, north-east and south-east of Kalgoorlie-Boulder,
covered by the Kakarra Part A Native Title Claim (Figure 1).
• Amalgamation of former claims – Following determination, the Kakarra Part A and Part B claims
were amalgamated under the KAC.
• Updated tenement coverage – The new HPA is now with KAC and has been updated to include:
o All of KalGold’s tenements on which it is listed as a tenement holder.
o All tenure where KalGold holds secure, long-standing gold rights by agreement with the
tenement holder (Bulong Taurus Gold Project).

KalGold’s original HPA required fundamental and wide-ranging modification to reflect these substantial
changes. It also required adjustment for the Company’s current tenement holdings within Kakarra country.
Figure 1 – Kakarra country in relation to KalGold’s projects, covering the entire Taurus Goldfield in the Bulong Taurus Gold
Project, and the southern, most active part of the contiguous Pinjin Gold Project containing, Providence, Lighthorse and
other targets. A series of exploration tenement applications south of Pinjin along the southern extension of the LTZ also lie
within Kakarra country. Projection: MGA 94 Zone 51.
Streamlining effects of the agreement
The updated HPA will have a positive material impact on KalGold operations within Kakarra country. At
the Pinjin Gold Project, containing the Kirgella Gift-Providence gold deposit and the Lighthorse gold
prospect, the agreement is expected to assist:
• Implementation of timely heritage surveys;
• Prompt clearance for forthcoming exploration and resource drill programs; and
• Streamlining application processes for new Exploration (E) and Prospecting (P) licences.
At the Bulong Taurus Gold Project, which includes the outcropping La Mascotte gold deposit, 35km east
of Kalgoorlie Boulder, the agreement is expected to facilitate:
• Timely site-appropriate heritage surveys; and
• Heritage clearances for proposed work programs near the culturally significant Lake Yindarlgooda
(via either the Western Australian Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage (DPLH) or by
collaborative Section 18 application).

Other prospective areas within Kakarra Country
remain a focus for KalGold as the Company
applies its exploration experience from Pinjin
and Bulong Taurus to identify and assess new
gold targets. The HPA is expected to support
future exploration and grant of new tenure by
providing:
• A streamlined application process where
the Western Australian Department of
Mines, Petroleum and Exploration
(DMPE) can reference the HPA as a
requirement for grant, potentially leading
to quicker granting and access to new
project areas.
• Automatic inclusion of newly granted
tenements within the agreement.
KalGold looks forward to continuing to build a
strong and enduring relationship with KAC and
the Kakarra people supporting responsible exploration and discoveries that will benefit KalGold
shareholders and stakeholders.
